The Arctic Dwarf Birch is native to arctic and tundra regions. It can be found growing in the northern latitudes of North America, Europe and Siberia, as well as Greenland and Iceland.
It has small, rounded leaves and a shrubby appearance. Prefers cooler gardens with moist soil. Excellent choice in an alpine garden.
Size: Height 3 to 5 ft; Width 3 to 4 ft.
Germination Instructions
Stratification: Seeds require about 60 days cold stratification at 3° C (37° F) to 5° C (41° F).
When sowing seeds cover lightly since they need some light to germinate.
